A subsidiary of Cruise Saudi, which is wholly owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, Aroya will operate voyages ranging from 6 to 14 nights, visiting destinations in Türkiye, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Malta and Tunisia, as well as ports along the Adriatic coast.
Aroya Cruises Senior Director of Marketing and Public Relations Ghadah Marghalani said the programme was intended to combine the company's Arabian hospitality concept with Mediterranean destinations and appeal to an increasingly international passenger base seeking culturally focused cruise experiences.
Selected itineraries will offer embarkation or disembarkation in Alexandria, with Aroya also scheduled to make its first overnight stay at the Egyptian port.
The summer 2027 programme will begin in May and expand the line's coverage of Türkiye, Egypt and Greece. Antalya and Nafplio will be introduced to the programme for the first time.
Aroya will also introduce two 14-night Mediterranean itineraries. The first will operate from east to west across the Mediterranean, while the second will connect the Aegean and Adriatic seas.
The east-to-west voyage will depart Istanbul on June 5th, 2027, and visit destinations in Greece, Italy, Tunisia and Malta before returning to Istanbul. The second 14-night itinerary will depart July 17th and call at destinations in Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Italy and Croatia before concluding in Istanbul.
The expanded programme follows Aroya's 2026 Mediterranean season, during which the ship carried passengers representing more than 100 nationalities. The company said the international passenger mix reflected the growing presence of Arabian-inspired cruise products in regional and international markets.
Aroya Cruises, Saudi Arabia's first domestic cruise line, launched its 2025 programme with calls at destinations including Mykonos, Athens and Crete in Greece, as well as Bodrum and Kaş in Türkiye.
The line's inaugural season departed from Jeddah Islamic Port and included destinations such as Jabal Al-Sabaya Island on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast. 95,000+ passengers travelled with Aroya during its initial operations, experiencing the line's Saudi-inspired hospitality while visiting destinations in the region.
