Viva Cruises, based in Düsseldorf and owned by Swiss shipping company Scylla, appointed Cruise Traveller as its exclusive representative in Australia.
Launched in the 2018/19 season, Viva Cruises fields nine premium river vessels accommodating 80 to 190 passengers and offers all-inclusive voyages along the Danube, Rhine, Rhone, Seine, Main, Moselle, Douro, Po, Elbe and Vltava rivers.
Cruise Traveller MD Joe O'Sullivan said Viva Cruises offers Australians a blend of relaxed and friendly service, premium comfort and extremely competitive pricing in Australian dollars, including beverages, locally-sourced cuisine paired with regional wines, Wi-Fi, gratuities and two shore excursions every sailing.
"At Cruise Traveller we are passionate about sharing boutique journeys on water with Australians and the unique experiences and itineraries Viva Cruises offers across Europe are exactly what we specialise in," O'Sullivan said.
"We are excited to introduce this innovative brand to the Australian market."
Cruise Traveller has a launch offer of a free cabin upgrade on selected sailings departing in July and August next year for bookings made by October 11.
One of the selected cruises is a seven-night round trip from Passau on the Danube aboard Viva Tiara, departing August 11. It is priced from A$3,395 per person twin-share.
