Multi-platinum artist and three-time Grammy Award winner Zac Brown will serve as the godfather for Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber during its Jan. 9 naming festivities at PortMiami.
Brown will also perform before the ship embarks on its inaugural sailing.
This strengthens a growing partnership that will bring Brown's music and creative vision to the cruise line's new flagship.
Brown collaborated with Margaritaville at Sea to create Beachcomber's Same Boat live music venue, while the line is the presenting sponsor of Zac Brown Band's current Love & Fear US tour. Brown will also headline an exclusive concert in Nassau on Jan. 28 when the Beachcomber, Islander and Paradise come together for the first fleet gathering.
"It's been so much fun working with the Margaritaville at Sea family to bring Same Boat on Beachcomber to life," Brown said. "I'm really proud of what we've created together, and being named godfather of Beachcomber is a true honor."
Brown added that what he loves most is "knowing that people are going to step on this ship with their families and friends, have an amazing time and make memories they'll have forever."
CEO Christopher Ivy called Brown an "important part of the Margaritaville at Sea family.

Brown's hit song "Same Boat" featured Jimmy Buffett on the deluxe edition of Zac Brown Band's The Comeback.
Brown and Buffett's friendship has had a lasting impact on Brown's career. The two first came together for CMT's Crossroads and went on to collaborate on hits including "Knee Deep," along with other performances and musical projects.
Beachcomber will spend its inaugural season sailing four- to eight-night cruises to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean from PortMiami before repositioning to Galveston in October 2027.
There it will sail to Mexico and the Western Caribbean for a 13-month run before returning to PortMiami.
