Woolpert and Chance Maritime Conduct First Fully Uncrewed Offshore Hydrographic Survey Off Florida's Gulf Coast

Woolpert is conducting its first fully uncrewed offshore hydrographic survey for NOAA, deploying Chance Maritime's MC40 and MC29 vessels equipped with multibeam sonar to map deep-sea corals and ocean habitats off Pensacola, Florida. The mission will collect 1,391 square nautical miles of high-resolution data over approximately 11,000 linear nautical miles to support seafloor mapping and habitat restoration in the Gulf of America.
