The Port of Yantai, in Shandong, eastern China, increased the volume of general cargo shipments destined for Africa.
Figures exceeded 6 million tons from the beginning of 2026 to date, representing a year-on-year increase of 66.1%.
Furthermore, it was announced this month that the Chinese port facility achieved a milestone in its Middle East services, by surpassing 300,000 cubic meters of annual cargo volume.
This growth reflected the increasing importance of Yantai Port as a logistics gateway connecting manufacturers in northern China with international markets.
Yantai currently operates regular services connecting major ports in the Bohai Sea basin with Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern markets.
