The automatic solid bulk discharge system built by TMGA in the Outer Port of A Coruña is expected to become fully operational in September, after several months of construction.
The mechanism consists of a series of conveyor belts and transfer towers, through which goods will be transported from vessels to warehouses in a closed circuit. The company highlighted that this will improve the environmental conditions of operations and achieve higher performance in discharges, increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the entire process. The belts are designed for the movement of all types of bulk cargo.
Terminales Marítimos de Galicia (TMGA), a logistics and port services company, has been present in Galicia since 1995, operating general cargo, solid bulk, and special cargo terminals. It was the first company to establish itself with its own means and facilities in the Outer Port. It operates in the ports of A Coruña, Punta Langosteira, and Ferrol, as well as other Galician regional ports.
