As part of our ongoing commitment to greater transparency, effective November 1, 2026, the Montreal port gate fee will be presented as a separate charge within applicable inland transportation charges.
For applicable shipments, the applicable charge will be shown separately as a USD 50 Token Fee – Export / Import, providing clearer visibility into the specific port-related cost.
The charge applies when Maersk-arranged trucking includes container pickup from or delivery to a Port of Montreal terminal in Quebec.
This update also ensures that shipments that do not involve truck pickup from or delivery to a Port of Montreal terminal will not be subject to this charge.
To provide consistency and predictability, the charge has been standardized across the applicable Port of Montreal terminals.
We appreciate your continued partnership and remain committed to providing clear and transparent pricing for your inland transportation needs.
