Maersk revises intermodal fuel surcharges in Italy from July 2026

Following our continuous monitoring of energy market developments, we would like to inform you that we will implement a revision of the applicable fuel surcharge percentages.

Revised Intermodal Fuel Fee Percentages

• TRUCK

  • Export Fuel Surcharge (EFS): +11%
  • Import Fuel Surcharge (IFS): +11%

• RCO

  • Export Fuel Surcharge (EFS): +5%
  • Import Fuel Surcharge (IFS): +5%

Effective from:

• PCD 01 JULY 2026 for both FMC and no FMC

These revised values will replace the percentages previously communicated and remain subject to bi-weekly review, in line with ongoing fuel market developments.

Given the continued volatility of the energy markets, further adjustments may be required should conditions evolve.

*PCD = Price Calculation Date. For non-FMC, PCD refers to the scheduled departure date of the first water leg at the time of booking confirmation for non-Spot bookings. For FMC, PCD is last container gate-in date for non-Spot bookings.
