Maersk updates surcharge code from TKE to IAE for rail export services

To ensure continued operational efficiency and transparency in our inland rail services, we are updating the surcharge code used for the Rail Export Token Fee service.
This is an administrative code change only. The service offering, charge amount, and applicability remain unchanged.

Service Description

This optional service includes Maersk's centralized management of rail appointment bookings, enabling reliable access and providing the following benefits:

• Secures rail terminal access for truckers in alignment with vessel cut-off requirements
• Reduces the risk of missed bookings and associated penalties
• Improves execution reliability through integrated token management and inland planning

Surcharge Applicability

• Applicable to all rail export shipments where inland transportation is performed under Carrier Haulage (CH)
• Applies to both dry and reefer containers, unless otherwise specified in customer agreements
• Charged per container and reflected as a separate line item on the invoice under surcharge code IAE
• Applies at the time of execution based on the ocean move associated with the booking
• Not applicable where explicit contractual exclusions or agreed exceptions are in place
