APM Terminals Callao announced the commencement of dredging operations in the waters of the North Multipurpose Terminal of the Port of Callao, as part of Stage 3B, which is part of a project to modernize the port facility.
According to the concessionaire, deepening works will begin on November 4, 2026, after receiving approval for the initiative called "Pending Works of Stage 3B of the North Multipurpose Terminal at the Port Terminal of Callao, which were not subject to Advance Works."
The aforementioned phase of the modernization project began in June 2026. According to the operator of the maritime facility, this cycle included preparatory actions such as advancing complementary investments and equipment like ERTG and STS cranes.
Stage 3B involves an investment of USD 550 million and will be completed within three years, strengthening the terminal's operational capacity, increasing port efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness to serve Peruvian foreign trade.
