Certified Pick up is also being rolled out in Zeebrugge. From November 2026, all transport operators collecting containers at the CSP Zeebrugge Terminal will use this digital platform, following its successful introduction in Antwerp in 2024.
Certified Pick up is Port of Antwerp-Bruges' digital platform for container release.
The platform is now being rolled out at the CSP Zeebrugge Terminal. "Following the successful implementation of the Inbound Release Platform (IRP), we are now taking the next step in the digitalisation of the release process at Zeebrugge with Certified Pick up," says Nancy Van Osselaer, Commercial Manager at CSP Zeebrugge.
The system replaces PIN codes with identity verification. "As a terminal operator, we take our responsibility seriously and are committed to making the release and collection of containers safer, more transparent and more efficient."
Once Certified Pick up becomes operational in November, PIN codes for container collection will be completely eliminated. From then on, the entire container import process at the CSP Zeebrugge Terminal will run through Certified Pick up.
For our customers, this means a transparent and predictable flow of information, with a clear status for every container at all times. This is a forward-looking development that will further enhance the efficiency, safety and quality of our services.
Nancy Van Osselaer, commercial manager at CSP Zeebrugge
To support a smooth roll-out, we are asking everyone involved in the container import process to register on the platform. By actively using Certified Pick up now, we can help ensure a smooth transition when PIN codes are discontinued in November.
With the roll-out of Certified Pick up in Zeebrugge, we are making the container collection process in Belgium even safer, more transparent and more efficient.
