The Port of Manta mobilized over 80,000 imported vehicles between January and August 2026, surpassing the 68,000 units registered throughout 2025. Terminal Portuario de Manta (TPM) began the expansion of Patio 600 with an investment exceeding USD 2.3 million for an additional 30,000 square meters. The terminal received 109 car carriers until August 2026, highlighting the discharge of 5,335 vehicles from the vessel MN Kang Qian Kou from Shanghai.

The Port of Manta mobilized more than 80,000 imported vehicles between January and August 2026, exceeding the 68,000 units registered throughout 2025. This growth reflects the increase in automotive cargo handled by the terminal.

In response to this increase, Terminal Portuario de Manta (TPM) began the expansion of Patio 600, with an investment exceeding USD 2.3 million. The project includes an additional 30,000 square meters for the storage and handling of vehicles and other types of cargo.

Port operations also show increased movement of specialized vessels, with 109 car carriers received until August 2026. Among the notable operations is the discharge of 5,335 vehicles from the vessel MN Kang Qian Kou, arriving from Shanghai.
