The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), through the National Port Authority (APN), has launched the process to update the Master Plan for the Paita Port Terminal. This technical instrument will allow for diagnosing the current state of the infrastructure and implementing development projections in line with future foreign trade demand and the competitiveness strategies of the National Port System.
As a first step in the diagnostic phase, the APN held a working meeting with the concessionaire company Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos S.A. (TPE). During the meeting, key data was collected in various management areas:
The information obtained will serve as the basis for the APN to develop a comprehensive proposal that strengthens the port of Paita, considered a crucial point for the exit and entry of goods in northern Peru and a strategic hub in international trade routes. With this initiative, the Executive seeks to guarantee modern infrastructure prepared for the growing demands of the global market.
