Victoria International Container Terminal (Vict) officially commenced Phase 3B of its expansion, marking a milestone in the continuous development of the terminal and port infrastructure.
The ceremony was presided over by Vict CEO, Bruno Porchietto, and was attended by the Consul General of the Philippines, Jesus (Gary) RS Domingo; the CEO of the Port of Melbourne, Saul Cannon; and the CEO of BildGroup, Stephen Hill.
Also present were representatives from the Philippine consulate, the Port of Melbourne, BildGroup, and the executive team of Vict.
Once completed, Phase 3B will increase the terminal's capacity by approximately 18%, which will support future trade growth and strengthen services.
"This investment reinforces Vict's long-term commitment to the development of critical port infrastructure, the strength of Victoria's economy, and the prosperity of the communities that benefit from our operations," the company commented.
"We look forward to collaborating with our partners to successfully carry out this important project and generate lasting value for our customers, stakeholders, and the broader Victorian economy," the company highlighted.
