Port of Arica Mobilizes 1.5 Million Tons with 6% Growth

The Port of Arica transferred 1.5 million tons of cargo in the first half of 2026, registering a 6% growth compared to the same period in 2025, as reported by Empresa Portuaria Arica (EPA). Cargo to Bolivia exceeded 1.1 million tons with an 8% increase, while container (TEU) movements rose by 18%, despite 52 days of blockades and 892 hours of closure due to high seas.
