Port of Antwerp-Bruges Confirms New CEO

The Board of Directors appointed Rob Smeets as CEO of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges Authority for a six-year term, succeeding Jacques Vandermeiren. Smeets, with over 20 years in the organization and experience as Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2019, was selected after a thorough process. The new CEO will lead the port during a period marked by significant investments and geopolitical challenges.
