ESL Shipping signed an agreement with Stegra for the transport of raw materials and finished steel products, as the company is currently building its first large-scale plant for near-zero emission steel production in Boden, Sweden.
"The signing of a long-term agreement with Stegra represents a significant achievement for ESL Shipping. We are pleased to provide Stegra with reliable maritime logistics and look forward to forging a successful long-term collaboration. This agreement is a clear endorsement of our ability to serve the demanding industrial supply chains of Northern Europe," stated Mikki Koskinen, Managing Director of ESL Shipping.

ESL Shipping's experience in Northern Europe and our shared ambition for decarbonization and sustainability make the company an important partner in the maritime supply chains that support our operations in Boden," affirmed Jenny Marin, Logistics Director at Stegra.
ESL Shipping is implementing an investment program for the renewal of its fleet, which comprises twelve 5,400 DWT Green Coaster vessels and four 17,000 DWT Green Handy vessels. The Green Handy vessels are equipped with methanol dual-fuel propulsion.
