The Liberia-flagged bulk carrier Hawk S en-route from Vistino, Russia allided with a quay at the container terminal in Durban, South Africa, on 1 September. No injuries or pollution were reported.

The incident occurred at around 9:30 pm local time while the vessel was entering the port and struck the quay, sustaining extensive bow damage both above and below the waterline. Some water ingress was also reported.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the allision.
Hawk S is a 2025-built vessel that measures 179.9 meters in length and 30 meters in width.
