Continued disruption around the Strait of Hormuz and congestion at regional ports are affecting cargo movement and delivery timelines. As a result, Maersk is temporarily adjusting booking acceptance and cargo flows to Khor Fakkan, Fujairah and selected Upper Gulf destinations.
We understand that these changes may affect your shipment plans. We regret the disruption this will cause and would like to provide clarity on what this means for your cargo and guidance to support your shipment planning.
Customers with affected bookings will be contacted directly by their Maersk representative with shipment-specific information and guidance on next steps, including alternative arrangements where applicable.
Cargo already in transit remains subject to delays. Your Maersk representative will provide the latest available status for your shipment. Where a revised onward movement or delivery date cannot yet be confirmed, we will make this clear in your shipment update.
Booking will be accepted based on available capacity. A revised booking should not be treated as automatically transferred to a later sailing. Where feasible, our team will discuss alternative arrangements with you, including expected timing and applicable costs.
These options remain subject to operational conditions and available capacity.
We continue to review these temporary measures as conditions evolve and will keep you informed of relevant developments. Our teams remain focused on providing guidance and assessing available options to support your supply chain during this disruption. Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued trust in Maersk.
