Maersk to Suspend Sailings on Canada Atlantic Express Due to Winter Weather in North Atlantic

Maersk announced that it will operate a planned program of blank sailings on its Canada Atlantic Express service due to the severity of winter weather across the North Atlantic.

According to the shipping company, the effects have historically impacted schedule reliability, which is why they are seeking to proactively address the situation.

"We will adjust our sailing plans in such a way that, every fifth week during the winter months, there will be no sailing. The winter program will come into effect starting in October," the shipping company stated.

The Danish company recommended that its customers consult the maritime schedule available on its website or contact local representatives for questions and assistance.
