With the aim of supporting the people of Manzanillo in any contingency, and as part of the ongoing actions carried out within the Port-City Good Relationship Program, this Thursday, personnel from the Port Emergency Center (CEP) of ASIPONA Manzanillo delivered 20,000 liters of water to residents of Pedro Núñez Street, in the Santiago Delegation.
The delivery was made house by house, as assistance for the water shortage that the inhabitants of that residential area have been facing since last Tuesday, September 8.
As officially reported by the residents of the area, the shortage is due to malfunctions in the well that supplies the vital liquid to Santiago homes.
In this regard, and following instructions from the General Director of ASIPONA Manzanillo, CEP personnel carried out this operation with a tanker truck with a capacity of 20,000 liters, benefiting more than 20 homes.
For ASIPONA, supporting the people of Manzanillo in full coordination with authorities at all three levels of government will always be a priority, and therefore there will be permanent willingness to work, within the agency's capabilities, whenever citizens face a health or social emergency.
With this action, ASIPONA Manzanillo reaffirms its closeness to the municipality's inhabitants and its willingness to join forces in situations that require immediate attention.
