Panama Ship Registry Extends Service Hours Starting July 2026

The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), as the entity responsible for administering, regulating, and strengthening the Panama Ship Registry, reaffirms its commitment to offering agile, efficient, and continuous service to the national and international maritime community.

As part of this responsibility, and following the announcement made by the President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, during his official visit to Greece, we inform that, starting July 1, 2026, the Directorate General of Merchant Marine (DGMM) and the Directorate General of Seafarers (DGGM) will extend their service hours to respond more promptly to the needs of our users.

Directorate General of Merchant Marine (DGMM)

Attention will be provided for the following procedures:

Ship Registry Department – Consular Assistance Section

• Consular procedures.
• Issuance of Provisional Radio Licenses.
• Changes of holder's address on the radio station license.
• Renewal of radio station licenses (regular and Out-In).

Important: Account statement requests must be managed within the Section's regular service hours.

Maritime Navigation and Safety Department

• Port State Control Section.
• Flag State Inspection Section.

International Technical Offices – SEGUMAR

• Minimum Safe Manning Certificates.
• Authorizations.
• Conditional Certificates.
• Extension Authorizations.
• Guarantee Bonds.

Directorate General of Seafarers (DGGM)

Service will be extended for evaluation and document reception processes through the:

Titling Department

• Certificates.
• Seaman's Books.
• Recognition Endorsements.
• Other documentation required by seafarers.

Likewise, we remind you that the international offices of SEGUMAR and the Regional Documentation Offices (ORD), strategically located in America, Europe, and Asia, will continue to provide permanent attention to respond to the requirements of shipowners and seafarers serving aboard the Panama Ship Registry fleet.
