Peru's Capital Goods Imports Grow 25% in First Five Months of 2026
Peru's capital goods imports totaled 8.46 billion dollars between January and May 2026, registering a growth of 25.1% compared to the same period in 2025 when they reached 6.764 billion, according to the Central Reserve Bank. The increase covered machinery for agriculture and industry, construction materials, and transport equipment, with differentiated growth by sector: transport equipment +36.6%, construction materials +34.4%, industry +19.4%, and agriculture +14.2%.
