Weighing Law for Cargo Generators Gains Support from Chilean Truckers
The National Confederation of Truck Owners of Chile (CNDC) supports the Weighing Law approved by the Chamber of Deputies in July 2025 and currently in its second legislative process in the Senate. The regulation requires companies that move 60,000 tons or more annually to install on-site weighing systems. The CNDC highlights that this benefits 40,000 transport companies that move 95% of the country's goods, preventing unfair fines for drivers for loads they do not generate.
