From February to September 2026, COLI Group's Antwerp office carried out four project cargo shipments across eight countries, highlighting a second-hand mobile crane, an industrial compressor, a subway car, and a set of 90-ton generators.
COLI Antwerp transported a second-hand Liebherr mobile crane from the Dutch town of Geertruidenberg to the port of Abidjan, Ivory Coast, for subsequent delivery to a mining operation in the country's interior.
An Atlas Copco compressor was booked as flat rack cargo, but its weight and size exceeded the transport capacity of standard road equipment. To ensure safe transport, the COLI team in Antwerp organized a special truck to lift and load it at the collection point, and contracted a specialized provider to carry out lashing, securing, and dunnage (LSD) tasks and install the protective tarpaulin. The unit was then transported to the Port of Antwerp as escorted exceptional cargo and and, from there, to the Port of Antofagasta.
Train car from Brazil to France
COLI transported a subway car from Brazil to the Petite-Forêt railway test center, near Valenciennes (France), one of the few facilities in the world capable of performing the necessary tests.
Eduardo Pijpe, COLI Antwerp Account Manager, stated that "winning this tender meant a lot to us. Our client had worked with us before, and having our own staff in both Brazil and Antwerp allowed us to offer a comprehensive solution, from the factory to the test track, instead of a halfway delivery."
The fourth shipment consisted of heavy generator sets, 90 tons each, along with their specific lifting equipment and additional 30-ton alternators, from Bergen (Norway) to Abidjan (Ivory Coast). COLI handled the sea transport, including the chartering of a general cargo vessel and the management of the vessel's agency.
The units were loaded directly onto MAFI trailers. Lashing, securing for sea transport, maritime inspections, and port agency were all managed entirely in-house.
