Lloyd's Register Issues Alert on Nishi-F FF-65 Lifeboats

Lloyd's Register reported that the Liberia Flag Administration issued a maritime notice regarding Nishi-F FF-65 free-fall lifeboats that do not comply with IMO internal passage width requirements. The lifeboats, with a capacity for 25 people and manufactured from October 2010 onwards, have an internal aisle width less than the 480 mm required by the Life-Saving Appliance (LSA) Code. Owners must verify the model and contact the manufacturer or Lloyd's Register to rectify the deficiency.
