Maersk implements 10.6% intermodal fuel fee in UK from October 2026
A. P. Moller – Maersk announced an Intermodal Fuel Fee (EFS/IFS) effective from 1st April 2026 in response to global energy price surges. From 1st October 2026, the fee for truck or rail transportation in the United Kingdom will be 10.6%, with higher rates possible for customers with bespoke pricing. The temporary adjustment reflects unprecedented cost pressures on logistics and intermodal operations caused by Middle East security developments affecting worldwide fuel availability.
