The shipping company Maersk reported a delay in its GSL Elizabeth service. The reason for the delay is due to adverse weather conditions that occurred in Shanghai (China) over the past few days.
According to the Danish company, "the voyage details will be updated to GSL ELIZABETH 635S/638N with a revised estimated arrival time in Sydney of September 26."
Furthermore, Maersk apologized, stating, "We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and support as our teams continue their efforts to mitigate the effects of these weather-related disruptions."
The GSL Elizabeth service offers a direct trade route between China and the main economic hubs of Australia, with the following itinerary: Sydney– Shanghai– Sydney– Melbourne.
