The Companhia Docas do Rio Grande do Norte (Codern) has appointed Hugo Alexandre Menezes Fonseca as the new administrative and financial director. The appointment was approved during the Extraordinary Meeting of the Board of Directors (Consad).
Hugo Fonseca holds a degree in Biological Sciences, an MBI in Expertise, Auditing and Management, a master's degree in Science, Technology and Innovation from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), and professional training in International Trade Brazil-China from the Shanghai Commercial Training and Education Center and the Ministry of Commerce of China. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Oil and Gas at UFRN.
With experience in public administration and economic development, Hugo has been part of the Secretariat of Economic Development of Rio Grande do Norte (SEDEC/RN) since 2016, where he served as secretary, undersecretary, and coordinator of Energy Development.
Between 2024 and 2026, he also served as vice-president of the Board of Directors of the Water and Sewerage Company of Rio Grande do Norte (Caern) and of the Advisory Board of the Energy Research Company (EPE).
