The Port Authority of Valencia (APV) has put out to tender the management and technical operation of the ValenciaportPCS platform. This tool enables the secure exchange of information between public and private agents that make up the port community, with the aim of improving the competitive position of the sector.
The contract has a budget of over 7.9 million euros and includes an execution period of 24 months from its award. The successful bidder will be responsible for managing this platform, whose objective is to promote and improve both the competitiveness and the integration of all members of the port community, as well as the activities carried out by each of them.
Information flows around Valenciaport are very complex and involve a large number of agents. Each movement of goods requires multiple communications between members of the port community, thus creating a complex information network. This technological platform aims to respond to the growing service needs demanded by the sector.
The platform offers services to over 1,100 companies
ValenciaportPCS offers more than 30 transactional and informational services to over 1,100 companies and public bodies, optimizing and automating port and logistics processes through a single data submission, and connecting transport and logistics chains.
Thus, it is always in continuous evolution, either to adapt its technology to legislative changes or to include new functionalities. The platform currently offers users a multitude of advantages in their commercial transactions, so the purpose of this tender document is to regulate the basic conditions for contracting the service for the 2027-2029 period.
