The Liberian-flagged bulk carrier was attacked while transiting the Strait of Hormuz on 18 August, leaving the vessel damaged and one seafarer dead.

The bulk carrier, identified as Minoan Dignity by maritime security firm Vanguard Tech. According to United Kingdom Maritime Operations, at approximately 01:35 UTC the bulk carrier was struck by an unknown projectile while conducting an outbound transit of the Strait of Hormuz.
The attack caused damage in the engine-room area, where the vessel's chief engineer was killed. The Omani Coast Guard was involved in rescuing the remaining crew following the incident. No pollution was observed following the incident.
Minoan Dignity is a 2004-built vessel measuring 225 meters in length and 32.2 meters in width. The vessel is registered to Asante Management Co and managed by Modion Maritime Management.
The attack adds to growing security concerns surrounding commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, where vessel movements have been severely affected. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has urged ships operating in the area to maintain heightened vigilance and report suspicious activity.
