Our CEO, Luc Vandenbulcke, was recently nominated for the Belgian Trends Manager of the Year 2026 award by the Belgian business magazine Trends. The nomination comes as DEME continues to celebrate its 150th anniversary, adding yet another special moment to mark this milestone year together with employees around the world.
Luc commented on the nomination: “I’m not a big fan of personal awards, because what we achieve at DEME is always a team effort. For me, this nomination is a recognition of all our employees who are working on board our vessels, on our projects, and in our offices around the world. My name may be on the nomination, but the credit belongs to everyone at DEME.”
Organized by Trends and the business television channel Trends Z, nominations for this award are decided by a jury made up of Trends’ editors, former winners, and business leaders.
The Trends Manager of the Year 2026 will be announced at the awards ceremony that will take place on January 6, 2027, at Brussels Expo.
