  • The CMA CGM Foundation and Nutriset, a French company specializing in humanitarian nutrition, have joined forces to develop a new peanut butter enriched with protein, vitamins and minerals, designed to meet students' nutritional needs.
  • In Marseille, the CMA CGM Foundation is making this product available to students at the Social Mini-Market on Aix Marseille University's Saint-Charles campus, run by the student association FAMI.
  • The Carrefour Foundation has also purchased jars for distribution across France in partnership with the student association Équipage Solidaire.

In France, 34% of students say they have an unbalanced diet and skip meals for financial reasons, according to the 2025 survey conducted by Cop1 and IFOP.

Food insecurity leads students, in particular, to reduce their consumption of certain foods essential to a balanced diet, potentially affecting their health, well-being and ability to pursue their studies.

To help address these challenges, the CMA CGM Foundation and the Carrefour Foundation have purchased batches of a new nutritional product developed by Nutriset, which they are making available to students free of charge.

An enriched peanut butter developed by Nutriset

Specializing in the development of nutritional solutions, French company Nutriset has developed a peanut butter enriched with protein, vitamins and minerals, considering students' nutritional needs and eating habits.

The first product in The Good Food range, a brand created by Nutriset, this peanut butter is made in France and has been awarded a Nutri-Score A rating. It contains vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K, as well as iron, calcium, magnesium and zinc. Palm oil-free and containing just 1.6% added sugar, it comes in a 350-gram glass jar.

Easy to store and consume, it can be enjoyed at breakfast or as a snack or used to complement a simple meal. As part of a varied and balanced diet, it helps provide essential protein and micronutrients. Students' feedback was considered during its development to ensure that the product meets their expectations in terms of taste and convenience.

This product draws on Nutriset's expertise. A French family-owned company, Nutriset has historically been dedicated to developing nutritional solutions for vulnerable populations.

Free distribution in Marseille and several other French cities

The CMA CGM Foundation has purchased batches of this product, which are now being distributed free of charge to students benefiting from the Social Mini-Market on Aix Marseille University's Saint-Charles campus, run by the student association FAMI.

For its part, the Carrefour Foundation has also purchased batches for students supported by the Équipage Solidaire association. The jars are included in food parcels distributed through its solidarity platform, Delivr'aide, in several French cities.

This joint initiative puts Nutriset's nutritional expertise at the service of community organizations already working to combat food insecurity among students.

An initiative that builds on the CMA CGM Foundation's ongoing commitment

The CMA CGM Foundation's involvement in this initiative is part of its ongoing commitment to improving students' access to quality food and hygiene products.

In Marseille, the Social Mini-Market on the Saint-Charles campus enables students facing financial hardship to purchase essential goods at affordable prices.

In partnership with France Universités, the CMA CGM Foundation is preparing to develop new solidarity grocery stores, particularly in Le Havre and Mayotte, to extend this support to other regions.

Tanya SAADE ZEENNY, President of the CMA CGM Foundation: "When students have to compromise on a balanced diet for financial reasons, their health, everyday lives and ability to pursue their studies are all affected. By making this product developed by Nutriset available to them free of charge, we aim to provide practical support that complement the initiatives we already back. This initiative builds on our ongoing commitment to supporting students, in Marseille and in the regions where we are developing solidarity grocery stores."

Adeline LESCANNE, CEO of the Nutriset Group: "As a French company, we felt it was essential to put our expertise to work for people around us in France with specific nutritional needs. Above all, this project is a collective endeavor to test a new response to a genuine need, through a high-quality product co-developed with and for students."

Carine KRAUS, Director of Engagement and General Delegate of the Carrefour Foundation: "Carrefour has long been committed to fighting food insecurity, particularly among students. It was therefore only natural for us to join this inspiring project initiated by the CMA CGM Foundation, which aims to offer students an innovative, high-quality product tailored to their needs."
