As the French Federation of Food Banks’ leading logistics partner, the CMA CGM Foundation mobilizes the Group’s resources, expertise and staff members every year to strengthen food transportation, storage and distribution capacities. It is renewing this commitment for the National Food Drive, which will take place this year from 6 to 8 November 2026.

  • 16,000 tonnes of food transported for the Food Banks since 2024 across mainland France and France’s overseas territories.
  • Financial and logistical support to strengthen their transportation, storage and distribution capacities.
  • Hundreds of CMA CGM Group staff members mobilized every year for the National Food Drive.

On the occasion of the French Food Banks’ National Food Drive, the CMA CGM Foundation reaffirms its commitment alongside the French Federation of Food Banks.

As the organization’s leading logistics partner, the Foundation mobilizes the CMA CGM Group’s resources and expertise to facilitate the transportation of food supplies and strengthen the efficiency of its distribution network.

This commitment is long-term and extends beyond the National Food Drive itself. Since 2024, the Foundation has overseen the transportation of 16,000 tonnes of food across mainland France and its overseas territories.

Logistics expertise at the service of food solidarity

Drawing on the CMA CGM Group’s operational resources, the Foundation helps address the Food Banks’ logistical needs by transporting food supplies from stores to local Food Bank warehouses and distribution points.

Since 2024, this partnership has enabled the transportation of:

  • 14,000 tonnes of food by road across mainland France;
  • 2,000 tonnes by sea and road to Martinique, Guadeloupe and Réunion.

This multimodal organization helps ensure supplies reach all territories, including France’s overseas territories, while supporting the continuity of the Food Banks’ operations.

Strengthening the Food Banks’ operational capacities on the ground

Beyond transportation, the CMA CGM Foundation also provides financial support to local branches in Marseille and Le Havre.

This funding contributes to the purchase of food supplies and the modernization of their operational resources, including vehicles, warehouses and handling equipment.

The objective is to sustainably strengthen their food collection, storage and distribution capacities, as close as possible to the needs of local communities.

Staff members mobilized

As part of the National Collection Drive, more than 120 CMA CGM Group staff members volunteers will also take part in operations from 6 to 8 November in Marseille, Paris, Le Havre, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Réunion.

Working alongside Food Banks volunteers, they will help collect and sort food donations in supermarkets and warehouses.
