Ukrainian Naval Forces reported that the Russian offshore support vessel Nefrit was struck by a Ukrainian unmanned surface vessel (USV). The Nefrit was moored in the port of Sochi on the Black Sea at the time of the attack.

The incident occurred on 3 September. The published video shows a powerful explosion and smoke near the moored vessel as the naval drone struck it at the pier.
Ukrainian sources have described the Nefrit as a multipurpose offshore support vessel used to service oil and gas infrastructure, transport personnel, and carry out underwater technical work. Ukrainian authorities have framed the attack as part of their campaign against Russia's logistics that support the war economy.
The Nefrit is a Russian-flagged offshore support vessel built in 2004. It has a length of 90.7 metres, a beam of 18.8 metres, and a gross tonnage of 3,963.
