The hole in the ship's hull has been temporarily sealed, pending permanent repair.
The oil pollution has been contained and cleanup operations are continuing.
The Kieldrecht Lock is back in service.
Shipping traffic can once again pass the affected vessel.
At present, only a mooring ban remains in force at berths K1714, K1716 and K1720.

Part of the Deurganckdok remains closed. Shipping traffic is currently unable to pass the vessel involved.
The Kieldrecht Lock is also temporarily closed. Shipping traffic is being diverted via the Kallo Lock where possible.
Other activities in the Deurganckdok outside the affected zone, such as shipping traffic and loading and unloading operations, are continuing.
Two inland vessels that were in the zone have been cleaned and have since left the area.
At this time, only the MSC Renaissance III itself remains polluted.
No spread of the oil pollution to the Scheldt has been detected.
Cleaning companies and others continue to work on sealing the damage, containing the oil and cleaning up the pollution.

Oil pollution has occurred in the Deurganckdok, near quay 1714-1716.
Emergency and clean-up services are on site to contain and clean up the pollution.
The Deurganckdok is partially closed to shipping traffic. Shipping traffic on the left bank will, where possible, be diverted via the Kallo Lock instead of the Kieldrecht Lock. Vessels in the area should contact the ACC for further follow-up.
