Monday, October 5, 2026. The Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz held the second conference of the Ibero-American Forum on Economy and International Relations of Cádiz, which on this occasion featured the participation of the Ambassador of Argentina to Spain, Wenceslao Bunge Saravia.
Under the title "Argentina, Mercosur and Europe: Cádiz as an Atlantic gateway for a new economic stage", the ambassador analyzed Argentina's current economic situation, Mercosur's prospects, and economic relations with Europe, as well as opportunities that may arise in areas such as trade, investment, logistics, and connectivity.
The meeting also addressed the role that Cádiz can play as an Atlantic gateway in this new economic stage, in which relations between Europe and Latin America offer new possibilities for cooperation and commercial exchange.
The president of the APBC, Teófila Martínez, highlighted the institution's interest in strengthening the port's international positioning and its role as a platform for commercial exchange between both sides of the Atlantic. "We want companies and operators looking towards Europe to find in Cádiz a competitive port, well-located and prepared to grow; and we also want our Port to be a tool at the service of companies in our environment that are looking for new opportunities on the other side of the Atlantic," she said.
The forum, organized by the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz, is sponsored in this second session by PTP Group, a company specializing in logistics and port solutions.
With this conference, the Ibero-American Forum on Economy and International Relations of Cádiz continues to generate spaces for dialogue and reflection on economic relations between Europe and Ibero-America and the opportunities that these connections can offer the Port of the Bay of Cádiz and its business environment.
