With the aim of continuing to strengthen bilateral cooperation and the revitalization of foreign trade, the Peruvian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (Capechi) formally incorporated COSCO SHIPPING Ports Chancay Perú S.A. as a Permanent Guest of its Board of Directors, a decision that was supported by the unanimous approval of all its members.
The announcement was made official after a protocol meeting led by Capechi's president, Eng. Álvaro Barrenechea Chávez, and the CEO of the port company, Wang Bin.
During the meeting, the highest representative of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Chancay Perú expressed his gratitude for the distinction and reaffirmed the company's full willingness to collaborate in the development of initiatives that consolidate economic, investment, and cooperation ties between Peru and the People's Republic of China.
With the integration of the Chancay Mega-port operator into the main bilateral business guild, Capechi seeks to strengthen private sector dialogue, promote capital attraction, and facilitate commercial exchange in a context of growth for the country's logistics infrastructure.
