The Vice Minister of Services and Transportation, Byron Franco, along with the manager of the Port of Manta, toured the Fishing and Cabotage Terminal (TPyC) to supervise the maintenance progress of the national fishing pier. The interventions seek to preserve the operational conditions of this port infrastructure.
The works are part of preventive measures aimed at strengthening infrastructure and reducing the possible impacts of the El Niño phenomenon. Among the planned actions is the cleaning of the rainwater channel, with the purpose of improving drainage and preventing damage from water accumulation.
These efforts seek to contribute to the continuity of fishing and cabotage operations, as well as the safety of port facilities. Preventive maintenance is key to protecting the port's logistical and commercial activity against possible adverse weather events.
