Ultraport has initiated a restructuring process to segment its business lines. The strategy involves the creation of Servantis, a firm that will take over mechanized operations, while the parent company will maintain the management of multipurpose services.
"Given that today's world increasingly demands higher levels of specialization for the sustainable development of organizations and the people who comprise them, Ultraport will, starting today, initiate a natural process in its evolution: differentiating port operations services, thereby strengthening its competitiveness," according to a note signed by Ultraport's General Manager, Gabriel Tumani.
"It is in this context that the process of creating Servantis, a service company for mechanized operations, will begin, and Ultraport will maintain services for multipurpose operations. This process will be progressive, with Matías Ormazábal assuming leadership as Servantis Manager, currently the mechanized ports manager, and Pedro Brain as Ultraport Manager, currently the multipurpose ports manager," he added.
In line with the information provided, Servantis will focus on the development of services in mechanized branches such as Terminal Graneles del Norte (TGN), Mejillones, Centinela, and Teck, "in addition to exploring new areas of presence in the country," the entity specified.
Ultraport, meanwhile, will focus its efforts on strengthening its services in the branches of Arica, Angamos, Valparaíso, Coquimbo, and Punta Arenas, as well as implementing a development plan for new branches of this nature throughout Chile.
"Our experience in providing both types of services is the foundation that allows us to take this step with confidence. Just as we have built our trajectory step by step, we will follow this path of specialization in the same way, with the same long-term vision that has characterized us over these years," Tumani emphasized.
"Over the coming months, we will gradually advance in this process, and we will keep you informed of each stage through each branch manager and their respective teams. We are confident that this new stage, along with the commitment and collaboration of the entire team, will be fundamental for continued growth and facing new challenges," the statement concluded.
