ABS Approves Conrad and Samsung's 12,000 m³ ATB Design for LNG

Following the announcements made during the inauguration of the Korea-U.S. Shipbuilding Collaboration Center (KUSPC) in Washington, D.C., Conrad Shipyard celebrated a milestone in its collaboration with Samsung by jointly obtaining Preliminary Approval (AiP) from ABS for the design of a 12,000 cubic meter articulated tug and barge (ATB) for LNG supply.

This achievement was announced during the KUSPC inauguration event, which was attended by government and industry representatives from the United States and Korea. The AiP reflects the successful development of a vessel concept intended for construction in the United States and is based on the cooperation framework established between Conrad and Samsung Heavy Industries for the development of LNG supply vessels.
