Seaboard Marine announced an improvement in its service for the West Coast of South America (WCSA) with the incorporation of a direct stop at Gloucester Marine Terminal, located in New Jersey, within the Port of Philadelphia, United States.
"Starting with the voyage arriving in Gloucester on Sunday, October 25, 2026, customers shipping cargo from the West Coast of South America will benefit from a more direct connection to the northeastern United States via Gloucester Marine Terminal," the shipping company announced.
"This enhancement further strengthens Seaboard Marine's service between the key markets of Chile, Peru, and Ecuador and the northeastern United States, offering customers an optimized route and increased connectivity for northbound cargo," it added.
The scheduled rotation will begin in Chile, specifically on Saturday, October 3, with departure from San Antonio, then serving the Lirquén terminal on Monday, October 5.
Subsequently, the vessel will proceed north with two stops in Peru, the first in Callao, with departure set for Tuesday, October 6, and the second in Paita on Thursday, October 8. The South American loading phase will conclude in the Ecuadorian port of Guayaquil on Friday, October 9.
After completing the regional circuit, the vessel will undertake a direct transit to the East Coast of the United States to call at Gloucester Marine Terminal on Sunday, October 25, finalizing the itinerary in Brooklyn, New York, on Wednesday, October 28.
"This new direct northbound stop represents another significant improvement in Seaboard Marine's network for the West Coast of South America, creating a direct and optimized connection for cargo originating from Callao, Paita, and Guayaquil, in addition to enhanced connectivity from Lirquén and San Antonio (Chile) to the northeastern United States," concluded Seaboard Marine's press release.
