The National Port Authority (APN) is evaluating the implementation of a logistics corridor between terminals on the north, central, and south coasts of Peru, in anticipation of possible road disruptions due to intense rainfall associated with the El Niño phenomenon. The initiative aims to maintain the supply of essential goods.

The proposal considers using coastal maritime transport to move priority supplies and humanitarian aid to areas facing difficulties with land connection. The network would include the terminals of Talara, Paita, Salaverry, Chimbote, Chancay, Callao, and Pisco.

This measure is part of the APN's action plan against the possible effects of El Niño and is still under evaluation. The entity is coordinating with port administrators, the Peruvian Navy, Provías Nacional, and regional governments to review infrastructure, access routes, and operational capabilities.
