The Minister of Transport and Communications of Peru (MTC), Rafael Rey, held a meeting with representatives of the Peruvian Association of Maritime Agents. The objective of the meeting was to promote measures to optimize the guild's operations.
According to the MTC, "during the meeting, the minister and the National Port Authority (APN) addressed the requirements raised by sector representatives and committed to working on concrete solutions, coordinating with their technical team the necessary actions to respond to their needs and facilitate the development of their activities."
Furthermore, the ministry detailed advances that have been made recently, specifying that "the authorization of specialized docks for receiving waste from merchant vessels in the Port of Callao, among others, stands out."
Finally, it was communicated that "these advances are part of the MTC's work to identify the sector's needs and provide facilities that allow maritime agents to carry out their activities more efficiently, within the framework of current regulations," the publication concluded.
