Trump Administration to Immediately Lift Iranian Oil Sanctions Under New Agreement
The U.S. will allow Iran to immediately begin selling oil and fuel under a memorandum of understanding reached to end the war, with sanctions waiver taking effect once the agreement is signed this week. The provision covers services including banking, transportation and insurance. The agreement is performance-based, requiring Iran to comply with conditions including no nuclear weapons, neutralizing enriched material, and not interfering with navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
