The Logistics Association of Ecuador (ASOLOG) is preparing an agenda to strengthen information and analysis in the sector. Among its initiatives are new business meetings, an index to measure logistics costs, and a national survey.
Fernando Rojas, executive director of ASOLOG, noted that the organization brings together more than 150 companies and around 1,500 professionals linked to ports, airports, transport, storage, and other services. The association also works with sectors such as bananas, cocoa, and shrimp.
Among the planned actions are the creation of the Logistics Price Index together with ESPOL and the second edition of the National Logistics Survey. ASOLOG also proposes preventive measures against possible effects of El Niño, with an emphasis on inventories, transport routes, and information exchange.
