Terminal Portuario de Guayaquil (TPG) announced that, by virtue of the curfew decreed by the Ecuadorian authorities for the period between September 17 and 30, 2026, the site will continue to operate normally within the hours permitted by current provisions.
The government of Quito established that, from 00:00 to 05:00 hours, for the third time this year, a curfew is set in several provinces of the country, due to intelligence forecasts that predict high crime rates.
In order to preserve the continuity, security, and efficiency of operations, the Terminal advised adopting the necessary measures to ensure the proper development of foreign trade activities during this period.
Likewise, TPG reminded that it makes TPG4 (truck parking) available to its users as a safe alternative for those vehicles that, having assigned tasks at the Terminal, require a waiting space for operational reasons.
Additionally, as a measure of support for clients facing temporary mobility restrictions, TPG will exempt the costs associated with the rescheduling of dispatch turns that arise as a consequence of the provisions derived from the curfew, thus seeking to minimize any operational impact on the logistics chain.
In the same way, TPG recommends scheduling turns sufficiently in advance, in order to maintain an orderly and efficient flow of import and export operations.
