The Vigo Port Authority hosted an institutional visit from the Celta Women's Basketball team's squad, coaching staff, and board to the "Atlántida" underwater viewer, a key site for promoting the natural heritage of the Vigo estuary.

The Vigo Port Authority and Celta Femxa Zorka have strengthened their institutional alliance with a visit from the sky-blue squad to the "Atlántida" underwater viewer. This informative day allowed the athletes to learn firsthand about one of the most ambitious environmental projects of the port, a leader in the protection and regeneration of the estuary's biodiversity.

During the visit to the facility, the athletes observed the biodiversity inhabiting the port's waters through the viewer, highlighting the scientific work and the importance of protecting the marine environment.

"It is a pleasure to open the doors of such an emblematic infrastructure as Atlántida to Celta Women's Basketball, a benchmark in Vigo's sports. Through these types of encounters, we reinforce our commitment to bringing the port closer to the citizens and transmitting environmental sustainability values to our best ambassadors," highlighted the President of the Port Authority.

María José Taboas, vice-president of the club, emphasized the relevance of such a visit for Celta Basketball and the opportunity to enjoy such an attractive project. "The significance that Atlántida has for the people of Vigo is the best reflection of what the estuary offers to this city. Seeing and feeling it so closely is novel and synonymous with the dimension that the marine environment has for all of us. One more reason for Vigo to be proud."
