Ambassador Cruise Line has acquired Oceania Sirena from Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
The ship will continue to sail for Oceania Cruises through spring 2028, when it will be transferred to Ambassador and renamed Ambella, the company said in a statement.
Ambella will be the first ship to sail for Ambassador's brand-new German cruise brand, Ambassador Kreuzfahrten, operating from Bremerhaven and Kiel.
During its inaugural summer season, Ambella will offer 11 itineraries, plus two repositioning voyages. The program runs from May through September 2028, and includes cruises to Northern Europe and the Baltics, as well as select sailings to Southern Europe.
Additional details on Ambassador Kreuzfahrten's 2028 program will be revealed in November 2026.
The 684-guest ship will also be chartered to the Institute for Shipboard Education (ISE) to serve as the host ship for Semester at Sea, a floating university, for the fall 2028 and spring 2029.
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings announced the sale of Sirena in July 2026, but did not disclose the buyer at the time.
Launched in 1999, the R-class ship sailed for Renaissance Cruises under the name R Four before transferring to Princess Cruises in 2002. It remained part of the Princess Cruises fleet until 2014, when it was refurbished and relaunched as Oceania Sirena in 2016.
