2027's Disney Believe will have a bronze statute of Moana greeting passengers in the Grand Hall, embodying the spirit of "believing in yourself on all your sea adventures."
The bow of the ship will be adorned with Tinker Bell, and the stern will feature Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody getting creative with the overall design.
These few details about Disney Cruise Line's fourth Wish-class ship came out at the big D23 Disney fan event in Anaheim over the weekend.
Further Disney Believe details are expected to emerge in October.
And a new class of ship, set to start in 2029, was also briefly teased at D23 as "sitting between Disney's classic and newest ships in size."
This will "open the door to new destinations and experiences around the world."
No more was said but as Seatrade Cruise News has reported, the trio of newbuilds will measure approximately 100,000gt with capacity for 3,000 passengers.
This makes them 20% larger than DCL's original Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, yet smaller than the Dream and Wish classes.
The three new ships will not use LNG but will be able to run on a variety of fuels, including hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) and renewable methanol, while remaining adaptable to additional fuel options that become available. Disney has also said they'll be among the lightest cruise ships of their size, saving fuel with a streamlined hull, next-generation power and propulsion systems and numerous other operations optimized for energy efficiency.
As well, they'll be outfitted with a battery system to support and supplement the main engines. And, in port, they'll be able to use shore power.
Deliveries from Meyer Werft are set for 2029, 2030 and 2031.
